Thijs,

We praten in het Nederlands, toch? :-)

Je verbaasd me! Prachtig gedaan. Je Macrotechniek mag er zeker zijn. Prachtig moment, uitstekend neergezet en een leerzaam verhaal. Mijn complimenten en groet Arjuna.

Superb...

Great shot and very nice colours.

Good usage of the flash, by the way... It's difficult to use, but for photographers this is a very good example!

My compliments, Arjuna.

Very nice one! Colours are strong, image unique and DOF is great. There's a bit of noise in the background... Maybe the program 'Neatimage' can help you get rid of it without losing image quality.

Yes...

Great picture! I like the composition very much. In the Netherlands we have many of these Azure Bluet's. It's always a beautiful sight.

My compliments, Arjuna.

Very, very nice.

I'm more of a photographer than a man of knowledge...

This picture is superb in feel and display of speed!
Composition is brilliant. You must also be a photographer!

My compliments,

Arjuna

Hi Jitti,

The picture is spendid! Beautiful point of view (POV) and sharpness. This moment is also unique and you saw it!

I would really like to see more pictures of this scenario. Do you have more? It would also be beautifull tilted to the right for 90-degrees, don't you think so?

Ps. Photographers note: Lowering your F/number will give you a higher possible shuttertime and a little more depth of focus (DOF). The sharpness of the picture is perfect BTW.

With my compliments, Arjuna.

Dag Thijs,

Ik schrijf mijn verhaal in het Engels...

The picture is spendid! Beautiful point of view (POV) and sharpness. I'm glad you posted the meta-data to your picture.

Allow me to hand you a photographers note:

I see you used a F/16, which means a very small diaphragm. If you try to bring that number down to about F/6 (a larger diaphragm) it means that your background will become more blurry. And that is very helpfull with Macro-photography. The more blurry your background, the better your subject sticks out. Using this smaller F/number in combination with your shuttertime you can also prevent spots from becoming overexposed.

You seem to know your way in PS, I think you will do fine using a manual setting in your camera! Go for it!

If you would like to see an example of the DOF your can create, feel free to visit my picture of a Love-Wheel of the same magnificent creatures.

I hope this note is usefull to you. I see you have a talent in photography already.

With my compliments, Arjuna.

Hi Radomir,

Very well done. Beautifull POV, colours and sharpness.

If I may... 1 photographers note:

DOF is a combination of Diaphragm and Focal-length. Using a low F/number (a big diaphragm) will result in a blurry background. When using a focal-length of about 100mm it will give you a perfect DOF. Trying to keep your F/number below the 6 is a good startingpoint. Your lens will do the rest!

Hope my hint is usefull to you and again: Very nice picture.
Oh... and I learned from your information.

Compliments, Arjuna.

Wow... I like it very much!
I don't have so much knowledge about insects, but the picture is very good. I like the sharpness and colours.

Complimets, Arjuna.
