Is Eristalis tenax. Hair stripes on eyes are clear and front tars is black (is yellow in pertinax)

It's pertinax for sure. No hairlines on the eyes (tenax) and yellow front tars

très belle première capture de chamois! la mienne est un point plus sombre au milieu d'une surface blanche! je trouve quand même étonnant que tu l'ai rencontrer en forêt a cette époque, on le trouve plus facilement au milieu des barres rocheuses!

Je suis également étonné que tant de monde ne connaissent pas cet animal qui a pourtant beaucoup de classe. Alors que tout le monde crie au maintient de la biodiversité, on a toujours les même documentaire sur la savane africaine ou la forêt amazonienne. A quand les documentaire sur les vaches franchaises et la qualité de leurs lait qui nous donne une telles variété de fromage?

What a beautiful image of a Red Admiral butterfly! I like the way you composed the picture leaving plenty of space in front of the subject. The colors look natural and I can even distinguish the pattern on the dark rear underwing. The photo was exposed perfectly! I only wish the BG was more blurred to completely isolate the sharply rendered butterfly, but this is only a minor point. A great work of art! Thanks!
