Perfectly approached and composed - excellent image, Ram.
Identification „Vanessa cardui“ might be clearly considered to be changed into „Vanessa indica“, the closely related but less widely distributed species from the Indian mountains.

With thanks, and best regards,

Remarkably fine result achieved with well upgraded old equipment, Ram.
Clear details, cheerfully rich natural colours, skilfully well composed.
Thank you, with best regards,

Dear Ram,

well composed, well approached capture of this cute and very agile butterfly of the mountains.

Regarding the identification: instead of the similar looking but more brightly colored common and wide spread Aglais urticae, I might suggest to consider the Himalayan species "Aglais caschmirensis (Kollar, 1848)".

Thank you! With best whishes and greetings from the Alps to the Himalayas !

Hello Ram,
nicely dynamical presentation of this attractive butterfly, well managed to show both sides of wings.
Thank you! With best greetings from the Austrian Alps to the Himalayas of Himachal Pradesh!

P.S.: Thank you for your visit and very kind words to my latest posting a few weeks ago.
Having been away from my computers recently during an extended trip into the mountains.
Always a pleasure to see fresh contributions from you here at TN!

Hello Silvio,
eye catching capture of this exquisitely shaped female of Meleageria daphis, very clear and well detailed.
It is a species that has become very rare in our region where it has been described for the first time by Denis & Schiffermüller in 1775.
You are lucky to find and to show it. Thank you! With best regards,
Peter
