Looks like a painting more than a photograph. :) Wonderful composition - the bird is in perfect focus, the huge wing-span captured at right moment.

Very unusual angle, I must say. The small twig in the center does distract the attention and is disturbing but knowing how difficult the conditions might be, I think it's a very nice click.

Hello Nazir,
Congratulations on getting a nice capture of a Black-winged Kite. I frequently see one in my area (near Gurgaon, Haryana), but never managed to get such a good shot. A very clear click, nice details.
TFS,
Richa

Excellent shot, Ang! And what stands out in your capture is the way light is falling on the bird and on the twig - giving it a painting like appearance. The blurred background looks very nice. Colours are lovely and the composition is just perfect.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Amazing, amazing capture, Karl! In-flight pictures of birds never fail to astonish me and your shot has all the qualities to make it one of the good ones - the composition is very good, the side-view of the bird with its wings stretched is just lovely. The details around the eyes are good and the lovely colours of background make the capture very beautiful.
TFS!

A very informative note and picture, Peter.. It helps people like me learn new things.
Your shot shows good enough sharpness in my opinion, and the colours of the spider stand out well against the blurred, green background.

TFS and Regards,

Richa

What a beautiful composition, James! The lovely coloured-perfectly blurred background gives the shot a soft, yet rich feeling. The birds perching diagonally stand out among the plain bokeh. TFS!

Welcome to TN, Lisa. Your shot here is a very good one and I agree to Manyee that you got the exposure on the chest plumage just right.

Thanks for sharing and hoping to see more pictures from you in future,

Richa

Dearest Anna, I did enjoy looking at the photo and also reading the lovely note posted with it as it just doubles the joy. Your bird is very small but incredibly beautiful with such pretty contrasting colours on its body.
Am looking forward to Green Pigeon's pictures.

Regards,

Richa

Such a cute moment you got, Omer! Not only the birds are too cute, but also funny as you said. This looks like one in which we ask models to pose for us. :) You were indeed lucky to get such a clear shot despite of the distance. A clear background adds to the quality of the shot.

Congratulations on capturing this perfect moment!
