a simple but visually striking image, using the sparsely leafed uprights of these regimented trees to create a dynamic composition - well done!
you must have had good light for this! I have this lens and it only works in very bright conditions. Lovely details, colours and a well chosen POV - well done.
a different and interesting shot you have shared with us here. Those eyes are very clear in the gloom of the water..good capture.
...wow, what an unlikely looking bird, seemingly made up of the part of many different birds! Nice sharp image caught in an interresting pose, mid stride. That splash of red from the face really draws the eye. Interesting and well taken shot, great job.
excellent compostion and a well chosen POV to create a nice green & neutral background - well done.
a wonderfully brightly lit photo, with summery colours and excellent depth of field - well done!
although the light is a little flat and the focus is a touch soft, you have composed the shot well and used good timing to show this Plaintain Eater talking to his fellow bird! An intriguing looking bird for sure..
i wonder - have your shoes dried out yet?? The soaking you recieved was well worth it though, you got much better shots than me! Great use of the stone in the foreground - you really managed to get something with alot of drama and interest, and given the harsh conditions we had that day, that's the sign of someone who knows what they're doing!
all the best and bravo.
(gonna get me some hi-tech filters :o)
Hi Mate :o)
such a pleasure to see a quality landscape shot on TN for once! The cool blues and greys of the sky and water serve as the perfect contrast against the orange of the seaweed and the algae, situated perfectly up the left hand side and swooping all the way to the back of the shot. DOF is superb front to back - bet you wish there had been some more movement in the water eh?? And perhaps a little more colour in the sky? Still, the smoothness of the surface of the fjord has a beauty of it's own and the subdued lighting has created a very relaxing and peaceful feel - well done mate, look forward to seeing you soon!
Your experience of being caught by the tide made me smile, it's happened to me many times...so often we become absorbed in what we are doing we fail to notice whats going on around us until it's too late!
This was well worth the climb though. Another beauty in yuor abstract gallery...i could look at this for ages...
