Just a practice run , I'd say . Best not to get too close , though . I've worked with these animals , and even know some from these guy's herd . Fantastic shot .

Portrait style , with excellent detail of the eyes . Great capture , I love the fluffy tufts . This looks like a mail , and I hope you get the chance to catch his mate , too . We have a pare nesting on our farm , and the mail greets me most mornings with a hoot . They do get to know you .

Wonderful shot ,Michel . It captures the moment , and tells a sad story . This is a Cooper's Hawk , by the rounded ends of the tail feathers . Sharp-shine hawks have squared off tail feathers and a slightly different color pattern on the beak . The fact that I can tell you this says how excellent the detail of your shot is . Thanks for sharing , Kevin .

Beautiful shot . Love the background with the boiling water . Birds do have a way of facial expression , it's in the eyes . There are quite a few birds coming back to Alberta , and it's great to see .

Very crisp and clear capture . I love the way you can see the feet in the clear water . Well sighted and captured .

You must have been well hidden to get this . Well done ! These are two year olds , I would say , getting practiced up to go against the big boys . Wonderful pose , color , and background . Good luck , boys ! Kevin .

Well done Michel . Very clear color , and detail . Only one small nit , the tail is cropped off . The rest makes up for it , however . Barred Owls are hard to find during the daytime , but hunt at night around our farm . Their call is distinct , so we know when they're around . Thanks for sharing , Kevin .

Nice capture . Bird feeders are a fun way to get these great shots . The color is really good , and I love the detail of the face . Who says birds don't frown . Fantastic . I have an older S2IS Cannon as my back up , and I know how much fun it can be to get something like this . Excellent work . Kevin .

Cangratulations Rick . This is a beautiful Jasper wolf , and a joy to see . You can see why this dog species is often referred to as the most intelligent in the dog world . I hope you've checked out the Banff Jasper website , there are some great links to wolf sites . Thanks for sharing , Kevin .
