Hi Laurens, a lovely moth - with a shutter speed of 1/30th - what camera lens combination were you using to keep it sharp like this and was it on a tripod? - best Phil.
Brilliant colours, and excellent framing. The focus just misses the front edge of the forewing but is otherwise is spot on. I suspect if the forewing was focussed the flower would not have been and that is more important. Lovely shot - thanks for sharing - Phil.
Hi Luis, very nice shot, perfect timing and great DoF to get the bird and tree in focus.I like the clean blank background Excellent shot - Phil.
Hi Pierre, lovely shot and I like the framing and focus. Shame about the typical UK washed out sky, perhaps a tweak to that would make the shot more impactful, best - Phil.
Wow - lovely shot, shame it is not facing towards the camera. A great capture with a sharp focus and frozen action. -P
Hi Brenda, I like the muted colours and oof background with this. It's a pity you could not have framed it to exclude the second group of flowers in the bottom right hand corner.
I know nothing of Argentinian flowers but if someone had just shown me the photo without any other reference data I would have said it was from the poppy(Papava)family, although I think these mostly have only four petals. TFS - Phil
Hi Tino, lovely shot, I have tried this type of shot several times and failed miserably each time. I like the way you have got the side profile completely in focus in the DoF but have managed to keep an OOF beckground. - P
Hi Peter, that is one wierd spider - is it really as flat as it seems? I assume you moved it to the peice of wood, otherwise I would be worried abou the state of the woodwork in the house. Regards - Phil
Hi Sochira, this is obviously a young bird which has only just fledged, or had fallen from it's nest? This bird appears to be trying to hide in the grass. The edge of the beak in a very young bird like this has not yet dried out and gives the characteristic fat lipped look this bird has, also you can see the tail is not yet full grown. was this bird alright after you left? Regards - Phil
Hi Arjun, considering the conditions a lovely shot. Nice OOF background and sharp well composed bird - well done - Phil
