interesting shot, good lighting, could use a bit more sharpness, and to crop all that black space out, I think this would be a more dramatic image if you cropped about 40% off the top and made it a landscape view...the black space takes away from what you are trying to show off in this picture.

wow crazy, I glanced at this and didnt even see the spider, I was like a fly in a yellow flower, not bad...then I took a close look and seen the yellow spider and wow...this image kinda tricks the mind at a quick glance which I like making you really have to focus in and pay attention to the detail...excellent shot...where do you go to see all these interesting bugs/insects/ and spiders? is everything just out in the wild where you are?

great portrait shot of the lion, great detail you can see all the scars on its nose... and the green/blue eyes make the picture I think...nice one!
I am not sure if its the picture, of the lens or what but this picture has a bit of distortion to it, which takes a lot away from the image, could use some more sharpness/contrast, in photoshop just try using Filter > Sharpen > Smart Sharpen. When taking close ups of Animals I would really try to focus on the eye and get in as much detail in and around the eye as you can, that little glimmer in the eye can add a lot to your picture
just my two cents
P.S. I also know a mike williams who just recently got into photography coincidence or may you be him?
