I see you become very active lately on TN and the quality of your pictures has been improved. I think 1/400 is to long exposure for a non IS lens. By opening the aperture one stop you'll get 1/800 and probably a sharper image. Pay attention also to the focus point. For this type op photos the DOF is very small and is impossible to have all the bird sharp. Half press the shutter, focus on the eye of the bird, recompose and press the shutter to take the picture.
Very interesting finding, congratulations! I understood White Stork is not at all common in N. Italy. Your picture presents the pair very well with nice colors and good show of the surrounding habitat. I hope they have a nest nearby. I see they are tagged and probably they will return next season if they nest successfully. This is a bird that I never saw in the wild (unfortunately they do not live in N. America).
I wish I’ll see one during my next vacation in Italy which is in less than two weeks from now. I’ll stay in Venice, Vicenza, Verona and Milan. May I ask you about the location of these beautiful birds?
Very nice picture of this Moorhen with good details and nice reflections. Your gallery is quite impressive and most of the pictures are from
Mestre Parco St. Giuliano. It is an aninteresting place I wish to visit.
Very nice picture of this Shrike, and not a easy one against the bright sky.
I just browsed through your gallery. It is very impressive by the diversity of species you found in a small area.
I’m not an expert in the European birds but it seems to be a Great Grey Shrike or Northern Grey Shrike (Lanius excubitor).
The blood on his neck is probably from his last meal.
A nice picture – congratulations.
Good bird and very nice photo.
I met this little fellow in Cuba, a month ago – he was in vacation there ;-)
In "North America" sint foarte putine specii comune - alta cale de migratie.
Numai bine, Mario
Very nice capture for both of you! This is a Yellow-throated Vireo for shure.
I hope you had a good time at Point Pelee. I was there for a wakened three weeks ago and was a bit too early.
One week after, a good friend told me that Parulas and Ceruleans were landed of his camera two at a time!!!
I like the pose and the background. Exposure is perfect.
Very well presented.
Wonderful atmospheric picture of this beautiful Woodpecker!
Everything is perfect – congratulation.
Ai reusit intr-adevar o poza deosebita.
