The bee-eaters are a group of near-passerine birds in the family Meropidae. Most species are found in Africa but others occur in southern Europe, Australia, and New Guinea. They are characterised by richly coloured plumage, slender bodies, and usually elongated central tail feathers. All are colorful and have long downturned bills and pointed wings, which give them a swallow-like appearance when seen from afar. There are 26 different species of bee-eaters. (Wikipedia)

Hi Achim,

The point of view is showing the detail and colors of the bee-eaters bird. The branches are framing well the bird. An extra touch of USM would help. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

excellent photo of the bee-eater, with fine POV,
i love the warm and dark luminosity of the photo
that it is giving an atmoshere (ambiance) to the photo,
for the framing i would give less space at the back
of the bird and more space where he is looking, TFS

Hello Achim,
A fine capture of a southern Carmine Bee-eater, its red body shining from the neutral BG and the rest of it sharply depicted without much detail but like a painting.
