Tree seen near Ribeira Grande. Sorry, don't know the name of the tree.

Thanks to Argus: it is a Flamboyant Tree

What a beautiful village. Strolling through the alleys, looking around each corner, going up and down the banana street (so called because of its curve), drinking a coffee and live like the people of the Capo Verde islands. Don't hurry on these island, otherwise you got a smile and not more then two words: "no stress"

Hello Achim,
Again a very interesting picture. Unfortunately I do not know any of that comes this tree species. But the achievement and his playing is very beautiful.
Have a good day,

Hello Achim,
A fine capture of the leaves and pods of the Flamboyant Tree, (Delonix regia) an ornamental species that is native to Madagascar where it is now rare in the wild state, but has been spread to many areas in the tropics.
The pods make fine shapes among the fern-like leaves.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

Hi Achim.
Once more wonderful picture from you. I like impressive tree with so attractive fruits. Colours are awesome and details are incredible. Bravo. Well done.

Hello Achim,

good pov and dof from this tree with good details and fine warm colours.

Hi Achim,
Interesting capture of this wonderful tree. The seed pods look like string beans but I am sure that you can't eat these. The tree stands out beautifully against the blue sky and it has beautiful details.

Hallo Achim,

Hello Achim! Very interesting trees, nice natural light and colours, good sharpness. Well done!

I do wonder, this looks so much like the Gulmohar tree we have here in India>
Do check out both and let me know if there is a connection somewhere..
An amazing shot!

Hi Achim,

This is a nice shot of the Gulmohor Tree. The seed strip is just too big, never seen that big. Very nicely done. In summer you get to see this tree in full red. More details in the link below

The flower of this tree is very interesting. Its red in colour and then have only 1 white petal.
