|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I took this photo while slowly approaching an eagle of some sort (not sure on ID) that was perched on a rock waiting for its chance to pick at an Abyssinian Hare carcass that had just been killed by an Ethiopian Wolf. The wolf took the hare after a long chase of several hundred meters. The wolf ran off as I approached but the raptor continued to sit on the rock just above the kill until I was only 10m away. At this point, it took off and I got this somewhat obscured shot off.|
Anybody have an idea on what species it may be? I will post another shot tomorrow of it perched prior to taking off. Thanks.
