MALE.

A Nymphalid. One of about 60 species.

Found flying low on forest floor in dense rain forest in Africa.

This one photographed in Bobiri National Reserve in Ghana where it a common bfly.

Hi Mike,

Great colors but it would have been better without the shadow as the butterfly's head is somewhat obscured by the shadow.
