[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Junonia oenone.

A Pansy found in Tropical Africa, Arabia and Madagascar.

This specimen photographed in Bobiri Nat Park, Ghana in forest. In daark forest and had to use flash. Probably a male, the female is lighter and the blue markings less well defined or even absent.

Surprisingly 1 specimen was allegedly seen in UK in 1950 in Surry. It was said to have been transported into the UK accidentally. I do not know who found it or who identified it.
