Jumping the African buffalo

The African buffalo or Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer), is a large African bovine.
The African buffalo is a very robust species. Its shoulder height can range from 1 to 1.7 m and its head-and-body length can range from 1.7 to 3.4 m.

The Marabou Stork (Leptoptilos crumenifer) and the Yellow-Billed Stork Mycteria ibis where fighting for the good spot on top of the Buffalo after his bath.

This is when the Marabou Stork was taking over chasing the Yellow-Billed Stork while the cormorants where enjoying the scene!

Fantastic and animated action scene of these birds playing tag over a dozing buffalo ,,,, and with captivated bird audience. Good focus throughout and from a choice pov. Well timed, well taken!

Hello Michel,
Is this a composite as the birds just seem out of proportion in size to the buffalo.
Neels

Fantastic sharp capture, bravo

Fantastic photo Michel! The timing and the composition are excellent! Wonderful colours and good sharpness too!

Hi Michel,

Excellent shot with really many species caught together in one place. The photo quality is excellent and most of all being in the right place at the right time to see this scene unfold, Tehre is 5 different species here. Perhaps there is a hippoe hiding somewhere under the water too :)

Way

Nice shot Michel.

Biswarup
