[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When zebra's are little, they are brown/white striped and very fluffy.
I've posted a second photo with more background, which do you prefer?

Nice one Saskia. Like the attitude with head of the Zebra looking back. This looks like a reasonable young charachter. A bit more background infront of the head would have been nice as I prefer this image to the other. It brings the subject closer. Very nice composition

Very good Saskia.
I like both pictures.
Agree with Pam , little more space to the left for this one,and it will be the best. Very good details, colours and pose.
Well done.

I think I like the one you posted as a workshop a little better, even though the zebra isn't as close. It's a more interesting composition. Either way, you took a nice photo here! -Jenn

This is a beautiful moment that you captured very well. I like the way he is making eye contact over his sholder - I love zebras and have several posted here and this is one that I wouldnt mind having in my collection.

Very well done and thanks for posting

Hi Saskia
Welcome to TN, even if I am late in saying so. I see you have a famous name, are you a great niece, many times removed from the Master? He also liked the play of light and shadows, especiaally his etchings.
This is a really cute filly, large limped eye drawing you into the picture.
As comment, the WS picture I liek more, because the crop on the legs is not aukward. Watch WHERE you cropp an animal. On the WS, you must also gige "room" below the legs down to the feet, and then some more, the legs are there, and the eys will follow to whee they are supposed to be.
On the main post, I would leave more room to the left, anf maybe crop much more severe on yjr right and bottom. These are subjective observation, and meant to help you see the broader picture.

Saskia, a little difficult to choose, since I liked both pictures. Even though, your note in your workshop convinced me - it's the better one to me.

Very beautiful photo with nice pose and sharpness.
