Madagascar Genet
(Malagy name: fosa)

It looks like a cat but it's a mangoose family.
It predates small mammals and little lemurs.
It's nocturnal and lives in the rainforest.

This pictures has been taken after the sunset, this subject was really confident and was looking for some food around my tent.

Thanks for looking.

Hello Andrea,
You were fortunate to have seen this Genet, and you have captured it well with the night shot w / flash. The Genet does not seem afraid of Humans at all, maybe it is from association from human inhabitation in their habitat.
Good shot,
Steve

Hello Andrea,
very nice capture with a superb composition. TFS

Ciao Andrea, bella questa genetta, purtroppo non c' niente da fare le dia scansite, come dici tu, non riescono a dare il giusto dettaglio e la giusta luce. Peccato.
Buona Pasqua, domani vado a Montalcino per qualche giorno.

Hello Andrea,
It's a fantastic shot of a mammal, this is because of flash. As if I'm watching an National geographic's documentary! Thank you,
Ersin

Nice snapshot of this nocturnal forager visiting you for some nourishment.

Good shot of that genet.
An unusual animal, one that is rarely seen, if ever, on TN.
Thanks for showing us this interesting creature.

Great in-the-wild shot of this endemic animal.
You managed really well the light, composition and DOF for a night shot.

Regards, Petru
