Perhaps the only amphibian in Mauritius (there are occasional reports of edible frogs) is the toad that was introduced to control mosquitoes and, thus, malaria. There are found in numbers everywhere that there is moisture. Taken on the forest floor in poor light with a high ISO to compensate. I have played about a bit with the light and contrast. |
