Seara buna dear Horia,
mda .... exceptionala ideea ta sa-i dedici lui Bayram aceasta reptila. Nu-i guster ?
Am vazut si in Croatia , dar mai mici si cu alte culori. Si gazda ne-a zis ca se numeste Gusterita.
Orice ar fi este superba si Bayram merita o asemenea dedicatie .
O seara ... calduroasa,
Adrian

Ahhhh... you've uploaded a beautiful lizard when I finished my smiles(:, however I feel that I have to write my comment to designate the species for readers. So sorry for lack of the points! This is a pretty female Acanthodactylus erythrurus (Red-tailed Fringe-toed Lizard) [Lat. acantho: spine & dactylus: finger or toe, Gr. erytros: red & oura: tail] which has typically red-tails in adult females and juveniles. Also it typically has the lateral edges of the toes, obviously at 4th toes, forming a comb-like (pectinate) structure- that we can see easily from your high quality photo. This is an endemic species of N. Africa (Algeria, Morroco) restricted the coastal areas. A more closely related species, Acanthodactylus schreiberi (Click on the link to see it) lives mainly in my homeland Cyprus and also Lebanon-Israel and East Mediterranean Regions in isolated small populations.
I think this is the 1st shot of the species on TN. Thus I congratulate you MF!
Thanks for sharing this superb and unique image and wonderful dedication to me MF!
Straight into my favourites :)
Have a great night! Kind regards,
Bayram

There are so many great members, but Bayram is indeed amongst the bestt all around...not only in imaging, but in teaching as well.
Your photo is portrait! Well composed in the frame and good dark earthy tones to compliment the focal. Adding is the unusual coloured flora which compliments the image overall.

Hi Horia
Ha-ha-ha…for some strange reason I was blinded and did not see the lizard on the
thumbnail. I just saw the reddish plant at the bottom and I thought to myself: "Now
what kind of a 'special' plant might this be so that Horia thought it precious enough
in order to dedicate it to our friend Bayram". Needles to say this, but I was pleasantly
surprised when I found this Red-tailed Fringe-toed Lizard (as Bayram identified it. He
most definitively liked it very much and unfortunately all his smileys were eaten, but
at least I have still some to distribute.
As Bayram has suggested, I investigated and also came to the conclusion that this
is a TrekNature 1st so it has gone straight to my theme for "RARE or SIGNIFICANT
contributions to TN". It is a lovely capture of this beautiful lizard in its natural
environment with good DOF and fine POF.
Well done and TFS.
Best regards

Vad ca ai gasit si ceva soparle prin Maroc.
De fapt trebuie sa fie multe pe acolo,ca doar la place sa stea "ca soparlele la soare" cum e vorba.

Buna Horia
O dedicatie foarte frumoasa pentru Bayram si o "expansiune" misto in galeria ta.

Hi Horia,
A wonderful picture of this Lizard and a perfect dedication to Bayram. And to add to that a first on TN. Congratulations. The face, skin and feet of this lizard are beautiful. Love the colors and details. She is well camouflaged in her natural habitat but at the same time is seen clearly. Great capture.

Hi Horia, Good very sharp and well coloured image of this Red-tailed Fringe-toed Lizard. Reptiles often repulse but this is certainly a beautiful specimen. Leaving the brightly coloured plant in the composition is ideal. TFS. Murray.

Hello Horia !
You have such a fantastic gallery of pictures on TN ! I like this one, because I love lizards and snakes, and this species in particular is vry beautiful. I like the light brown color and markings, must be an excellent camouflage. Details are perfect, as well as the composition, the POV and the pose of the lizard. Very well done !

Buna Horia,
I missed this wonderful pic when You posted. Great minimalistic composition, quite artistic with main and complementer subject (red plant), sharpness is excellent, and You managed to capture the real desert colors. Bravo MF. Perfect job. Also congrats for sharing this species on TN for the first time.
Bayram is a great and helpful guy indeed, he absolutely deserves this nice dedication.
Maybe a bit later, but I've just seen You updated Your intro page. It's a great idea, at least we know a little bit more of You, both as a photographer and a human. It's always great when sons (and wife, too) share the father's hobby. I also have two sons (10 and 4 years old), and the older one's also very interested in photography (mostly trains, bus etc., but he has nature photos, too. He even won a prize on a photo contest of the local public transport company created for adults!). If interested, You can see some of his work as a workshop of this photo. Thanx for viewing.
Have a nice Sunday, friendly regards, László
