|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|The Scimitar-horned oryx antelope (Oryx dammah) is now extinct in the wild. The last animals were detected about 10 years ago in the south of the Sahara. An international reindroduction progamme have been started with animals from different European zoos and animal parks under leadership of Hannover Zoo in connection with the responsible national nature preservation authorities. The zoo-born animals have been introduced sucessfully in Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia. I have seen such herd in very good condition at Sous Massa National Park south of Agadir City. The bull (see picture) was watching its group against rivals.|
