Carrichtera annua (L.) DC. in Mém. Mus. Hist. Nat. 7: 244, 250 (1821)
Basiònim: Vella annua L., Sp. Pl.: 641 (1753)
=Carrichtera vellae DC., Syst. Nat. 2: 642 (1821), nom. illeg.
Annual plant, covered with simple hairs. Leaves elongated, very slightly, and wrinkled at the edges. Flowers yellow. Fruits in capsule named silicula, it opens by two valves.
Grows on arid & sandy soils. Distribution: Mediterranean region, north of Africa, Sahara.
