Skink is a medium sized (12 cm) with a pointed muzzle, flat wedge-shaped, with a dorsal color varies from pale yellow to reddish beige and white belly. It is a loner who frequents sandy areas very strong enabling it to penetrate quickly.
This is a typical Saharan lizard, localized strictly to the sandy areas. Its range covers the whole of Western Sahara. It is hunted for its many uses in traditional medicine, hence its common name, or intended to shops or to food eaten as fried after being peeled.

SCINCUS ALBIFASCIATUS

Unusual, original composition of this lizard in it's natural sandy enviornment. I like the lighting that well illustrates the hues & tattoos of it's skin. Sharp focus & a lizard's eye POV too! A very nice discovery indeed!!
