Hi all
just back from Morocco with a few bird pictures. This is my favorite one: a Stone Curlew Burhinus oedicnemus in the very late afternoon about 30 minutes before sunset. This gives the rather yellow light and the very nice shadow of the bird on the stone. I was not sure about the compo, now it is pretty centered and the alternative would be to cut the right part of the stone, only leaving the part with the shadow giving more space on the left sight of the bird and a less panoramic compo. Any advice most apreciated!

Hallo Tom,
i think your choice of composition is the best possible, it is good to know the rules of composition and then knowing how to manage personal, sometimes the best images are those that violate these rules, it is difficult to interpret nature, it is easier to document it, but you can be creative, but IMHO the role of nature is the most important; a superb capture
Best regards

Hello Tom

I love the POV at the level of the bird,
the good free space you leave in front the bird,
and the panorama style framing including the
rock in the image, excellent DOF, lovely light, TFS
