The fish river canyon is located in the south of Namibia,and is the second largest canyon in the world and the largest in Africa.It features a gigantic ravine totalling 160Km long and up to 27Km wide with a 550m drop.

A great image of this wonderful park. Apparently it is so hot and uncomfortable, hikers have to obtain a doctor's certificate before starting off.
