Lonely Oryx in the Zebra Pan of the Naukluft Nationalpark in Namibia.

The Namib-Naukluft National Park is a national park of Namibia encompassing part of the Namib Desert (considered the world's oldest desert) and the Naukluft mountain range. With an overall area of 49,768 km², the Namib-Naukluft is the largest game park in Africa and the fourth largest in the world.[1] The most well-known area of the park is Sossusvlei, which is the main visitor attraction in Namibia.
A surprising collection of creatures survives in the hyper-arid region, including snakes, geckos, unusual insects, hyenas, gemsboks and jackals. More moisture comes in as a fog off the Atlantic Ocean than falls as rain, with the average 106 millimeters of rainfall per year concentrated in the months of February and April.

Bonjour Pierre,
J'aime beaucoup ce genre d'image qui met l'accent sur un paysage. Et ton idée de mettre l'Oryx au centre de l'image devant cette grande étendue est excellente. Le focus est idéalement placé sur l'animal. Bien vu!

Hello Pierre,
A Great composition of the lone Gemsbuck in a barren desert taken in very difficult conditions, meaning heatwaves, etc. It almost takes me back to Etosha. Great capture.

uou... extrem conditions indeed. Never heard about this "old most" desert. Thanks for the information.
The first look of this pic is a very sad one, but then turns to reveal lot of life: the oryx, the small bushes and the hot air wave over the horizon. Just an amazing composition. Congratulations! TFS, regards
