[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Etosha National Game Park is a very dry and desolated area. Almost all the animals are going to the waterholes to drink. There it's very crowdy. You can see thousands of animals there. Here the contrast between the elepant and springbok.
The shoulder height of the springboks is 75 cm. Of the elephant till 4 m.

This is a scanned slide.

Hello Peter,

wonderful capture, with deep contrast and great dynamic range... The composition is good, but for my taste a little tight.

TFS

That's different. Astonishing to see the size comparison especially considering that an animal with 75cm shoulder height is not really tiny either...
Great detail! Bravo! Cheers, Klaus

Hello Peter,
Excellent capture of a waterhole scene showing an African Elephant surrounded by Springbok. Fine composition, lighting, detail and colour from this scanned slide.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Great environmental study Peter. Good composition with the elephant placed off centre and the eye allowed to wander around the springbok. Gives a great sense of scale. Nice to see film being used (I prefer it). Best, Brat.

Hi Peter,
wonderful composition of two mammal species. Nice details and sharpness, also POV. TFS
well done

Hello Peter,
Impressive capture of the water hole, wonderful POV and composition..Great posing by the elephant!.. Well done

Everton.

Hi Peter, this is so cool looking. I've never seen a composition like this with an elephant surrounded by all these springboks (or any other animals for that matter). I like too how you've captured the background so we can see the conditions there.

Thanks, John

Peter,

A good opportunity to view lots of animals at the same time. The setting is good. I like the composition and positioning of the main subject being the Elephant. I like the Comp, POV, BG and subject.

Not bad quality for a scanned slide back in 2002!

TFS,
Sheriff

Hi Peter,

This is just a stunning picture around an Etosha waterhole. I like it very much, and I hope to visit Etosha myself one day. Well done.
