Another Dark-capped bulbul. Dark-capped bulbuls can be found throughout Kruger National Park and it's quite common there.
You often see them in the restcamps where they are your guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. You even don't have to send them an invitation.
More info about this bird can be found in my gallery or in the 'bulbul theme'.
This image is captured with the 400mm mounted on a monopod whilst the image stabilizer was on.
A short shutter speed is often a necessity due to to the savanna wind which was playing with the branches or perch...
Thanks for looking...

Hi annick. A fine picture of this cute Bulbul. I do like the pose you have captured this little one with its head turned to one side, Good use of the light to give natural colours. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi Annick,

A nice sharp image with good composition and pose. The bird almost has a cheeky expression on his face. I also have these birds uninvited in my garden but they are more than welcome here.

Very, very beautiful!

Hello Annick,

This is an excellent shot of a bird which is completely new to me.
I like the alert pose, the glint in its eye, the lovely textural details and good off-centre composition.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Annick.
I think F/8 is your personal record. Wonderful scene and brilliant reproduction of the bird plumage, tiny feathers and attractive haircut. Pose of the bird and twig/leaf surroundings are very cute. I like tenderness of the smooth BG a lot too. Sunlight is very nice and underlines the details of the scene excellently. My warm greetings and TFS.
Alexei.

Hello Annick very well composed. Good DOF & sharpness. Good eye contact. Bulbul are seen this part of the world also but not in large number and very difficult to shoot them.
Regards - Adil.

Hi Annick

Another great bulbul shot - again capturing the character of this inquisitive bird perfectly. Great work my friend.

James

Hi Annick,

Beautiful shot of this Dark-capped bulbul, love the pose you've managed to capture, excellent detail, wonderful light on this, really stands out well against the natural background.

t.f.s Rick :)

Annick,

Good Comp as it has the subject off centre. The sharpness amd detail of the subject are good. Your DOF and BG also add to the detail.

Sheriff

These birds are so cute - I've seen them in Fiji - imported from India, etc.
Excellent sharp image Annick, you have focused wonderfully on him.
Well done

Bonjour Annick,
Image très naturelle et aux coloris magnifiques. J'aime aussi bien la position de l'oiseau perché sur une branche cassée et qui se montre de profil, si l'on peut dire ainsi. Arrière-plan de grande finesse aussi.
Bien vu

Hi Annick,
Nice image sharp as always. THough personally in would have prefered it to be slightly lower in the frame with a little more head room.
