You can count the wrinkles in this one Annick! Super detail, well timed and perfect DOF, well done...the trunk seems to have an unusual bend in it..

He...I have a message from Mario in Alberta and have just visited his elephant side show...very interesting...but this! This is real cool as I woulda' said a while back and would still say today if the younger ones didn't look at me askew...I am a young kid in an old body and I refuse to grow up...So in that light..could someone please give me some peanuts to feed this one:-)

A very good close-up here from you, one that brings with it some drama...
It's because of those beautiful tusks that these majestic animals have been so persecuted in the past (and maybe even present) and it's because of the many deaths that it has seen that the eyes of this one are so sad. That's the way i see this shot and that's why i think it's absolutely brilliant!
Very well composed with the tight close-up here, excellent details and great light that enhances the mood a bit more, too.
Truly wonderful work, my friend!
Bravo and TFS

They say an elephant with it's trunk up is good luck.I agree!
Great timing on this shot, the composition is beautiful.
Very fine textures and details.
The colours are natural and well saturated.
Excellent image Annick..Perhaps the best "Tusks & Trunk" closeup I've ever seen.
Amazed at the DOF you have in this at F/4
I'm on vacation now, but I'll check your work from time to time :)
Did you get the memo from Canon on the mirror box repair/adjustment?

I like this POV, the crop used here.Beautiful details of the skin, placement of tusks & eye. The trunk does seem to be a little kinked. Nice background.
