Readheaded Weaver (Anaplectes rubriceps)

The Redheaded Weaver is a small bird with scarlet head, breast and upper back. The female has a dull yellow head and breast.
Likes savanna bushveld. Feeds on insects, spiders, fruit and seeds. Nests are built of twigs and leaves by the male. The nest is ball shaped with a vertical entrance spout about 200mm long.

This photo was taken in the Berg n Dal camp in the Kruger park. It was perched well above my head, hence the angle at which I had to take it. I have changed the background using Photoshop in order to make the subject stand out better as the original background was very cluttered with patches of foliage and sky.

Hi Mike
Nice capture. Rich details and beautiful colors. How could you get that background?
Regards.

Hi Mike,

Nicely captured busy calling with good detail and colour. I like the composition with the branch at an angle from the corner.

Hi Mike,
very nice shot of great singer!

Best regards, Leonid

Hello Mike,
Good capture of this Readheaded Weaver, but the BG does not look very natural ! a blue BG would have been better, (at least my opinion). Why not posting the original photo in the worshop?
Best regards
Albert
