Southern Whitecrowned Shrike ???

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This pic was taken on a game drive at the Thornybush game reserve. I failed to write down its name. The best match I can find in 'Sasol's birds of Southern Africa' is the Southern Whitecrowned Shrike, but I'm not at all sure of it. Who can help me out?
The pic was taken handheld and has been cropped, contrast and sharpness have been adjusted. |

Hi Daniel
Great shot, with the 'looking back' pose from the bird. Good light and colour. You got the catchlight in the eye. Only nit is the focus is soft. Nice work all the same. Thanks.
Hi
You are right that this is a Southern Whitecrowned Shrike...I think the confusion is because its a juvenile bird by the looks of it.
Great shot though - nice composition and the exposure is good.
TFS :)
