[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This young White Rhino had just finished his mud bath. The name "White" refers to the shape of the lip, "Wide" which is adapted for grazing. I was lucky enough to see this young fellow with his mother on two different days.

Very impressive image of a rhino - i love the single eye staring out, well done indeed!

And welcome to Trekearth, this is a super first picture.

Welcome to TN. A first posting of one of the BIG 5 is great to see! I did post one of 3 Rhinos but was no where near my first posting!

The composition, POV, detail of the subject showing the mud are all great. TFS,

Really nice pick...and muddy mood ;)
i understand what you mean with my tight crop...like this he looks strong and majestic :)
best reagrds,

Heh, it's a funny moment you've captured! I think that it's a bit too close, though, I would have preferred a little more space around the Rhino, especially on the right. The reflection on his back is overexposed as well.

Hi Patrick

Excellent photo of this beautiful youngster.
I really like this shot, the rhino looks alert and aware of your presence, so there is a lot of atmosphere in this photo.
Really well done.

Excellent shot. Good framing of the shot and nicely captured pose.

It is nice to see wearing a beauty mask :-) They are massive creatures and getting this close to the young one with the mother close, is brave.

Good shot well done

African spa treatment at its best ;-)
Well done and TFS!

Hi Patrick.
great capture of a White Rhino. I had the amazing experience of seeing them in Zambia a few years ago. The also were covered in mud! Great sharpness. Well done.
Regards, Steve.

Hi Patrick,
he is a young fellow, how much bigger can he get? This is a great capture with a most interesting point of view and details. The background appears a little washed out but that adds to the honesty of your shot,I like it. Bob

Impressive, Patrick.
How dangerous is this though?
