[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Male easily distinguished from similar Klass'sCuckoo by the broad white eye-stripe, white spots on forewings and by its red, not brown eyes. Female differs from female Klass'sCuckoo by being much greener above and whiter below, with much reduced barring on the flanks and having white spots on the forewings.

Hello Farid,
This is a brilliant capture of this Cuckoo with a wonderful metallic sheen to its plumage. I like its pose and details are very sharp. Very nice soft background and a lovely composition too.
Many thanks, Ulla

Great capture. You managed a great portrait despite a little dull light. Good detail - Hat's off to you! Cheers, Klaus

Bonjour Farid
cet oiseau a de superbes couleurs, bien assorties avec l'arbre sur lequel il est perché, et se détachant bien du fond.

nice bird, TFS Ori

Hi Farid

A new species for me. Great capture, that big cannon lens has done a great job. Stunning sharpness and colours.
Well composed on a neutral background.

Chris

Lovely capture of this very difficult to photo bird. We hear them all over South Africa in summer but we hardly ever see them.
