Rather big crop this one. Some pp trials (and errors?)

In the meta you can actually see I was some kind of nervous...

I like it, though it is melancholy on your picture. But the sharpness and detail are great as usual

Hello Annick,
What a beautiful close up of this Leopard,
He's so beautiful.. Very sharp and clear image
Great POV and colors.. Well done

Hi Annick,
Wow what a capture, the detail is stunning and the f2.8 has produced a narrow d.o.f which highlights the head and eyes, then tapers off down the body, just brilliant, excellent composition, all the best Cheers Rick :)

hello Annick

excellent composition with that excellent focus to his head
and chest part (excellent focus sur la tÍte et la poitrine),
excellent details of the patterns of his coat,
and i love his frightened eye contact with your camera lens, TFS

Ha Annick,

Prachtige maar ongeinteresseerde blik heeft ze in haar ogen.
Perfecte focus op de kop(ogen), prima gedetaileerd
uitstekende compo, POV, DOF en pose
schiterende vacht tekening

Hi Annick, Beautiful shot of this leopard. The color and detail is super as well as composition. The cats expression is kind of humorous. Somewhat bewildered looking. TFS

Hello Annick,
Well my friend this is magnificent in my opinion. I am drawn by her sleepy looking eyes, the wonderful pattern and colors of her fur and those long whiskers. She is listening behind and in front indicating she is nervous. What a glorious capture of a very special meeting. Fantastic job Annick.

Hi Annick

Wow - superb close-up - with amazing detail - the eyes in particular. How much did you crop? Did you take this from the Corolla?

PS How did you get your 400 to SA? Main luggage? Do you use the hard case (the handle came off mine [& it was brand new] at the top of the stairs going down to luggage collection in Nairobi airport - it hit every step then slid along the floor and hit the wall - it was ok though)

Hello Annick,
Despite the big crop this fine image of a female Leopard is pretty noiseless and sharp. Great pose and eye-level POV.
Excellent capture of one of the Big Five and thanks for sharing it.

Hello Annick
The crop gives an excellent composition
Nice portrait of this wonderful animal
Have a nice W-E

Hi Annick

Sorry for the big delay, but i had internet problems and i also left town today for a while :(

You know just how much i love this one...
I think i understand how difficult it is to even see a leopard in the wild, but to get away with such magnificent shots, it's truly a blessing :)
Outstanding portrait, one with impeccable details, colors and facial expression from the nice mama :)
I've seen lots of zoo-photos of leopards that don't have this feeling...

Bravo and TFS

Hi Annick,

Sorry I have missed some of your posts... been really busy. This is a gorgeous animal. She doesn't show the wear and tear of living in the wild. I love the photo and the wonderful detail in the face and ears.

Evelynn ; )

second time this week i have seen a great shot of a leopard..last one was in kruger
this is a really close event and purely sharp
blasted background really helps to support the image and set out its clarity and sharpness
