Hi Anna,
A great macro, with good colors and lots of detail,I know from own experience they are quite hard to capture, they often jump just away after you have set your camera settings, you managed quite well, tfs

Hello Anna,
I liked the eye contact in this excellent close shot of this jumping spider. The sharpness and details of the eyes and mouth parts are first class.
Thanks for sharing this beauty,
Cheers,
Bayram
Hello Anna,
Very nice sharp picture of this spider. Great detail. Very nice light and natural colours.
Cheers,
Mariki
That set of amazing eyes has been very well captured in this daring macro, Anna.
The green leaf makes a pleasant BG for the subject.
TFS and regards.
Ram
Hello Anna,
... and I'm watching you, thereby recognizing a lot of sharply reproduced details.
Well selected point of view and well managed light to introduce this small jumping spider.
Best wishes, Peter
He he! Their wide eyes always make me laugh :-)
Nice capture of this Jumping Spider.
Superb eye contact and a great POV.
Well composed.
Sharp with superb details.
Nicely saturated colours.
Well done Anna!
Thanks,
Joe
Hello Anna,
I too would be pleasantly surprised to see such a sharp macro of such a tiny spider. I like the POV and the large eyes of this Jumping (Zebra) Spider are really the focal point of this fine composition as he looks at the camera like a 1950's sunbather with his large round sunglasses on.
Thanks for sharing this delightful image,
Ivan
Hi Anna.
I love these eyes and I like the picture a lot. Great eye-contact and excellent presentation of the beauty. I like scenery created by inclined leaf. It is very impressive element of the shot. DOF and reproduction of the spider is ultimate. We can see every hair on it and even reflection in the eyes. Bravo and my kind regards.
Alexei.

Hi Anna,
Beautiful shot. With that big eyes this jumping spider looks cute. The image is in sharp focus with perfect exposure. Very nice color clarity. TFS this lovely image.
JC
Jumping is an important part of this notation here...but only when they are jumping OFF of me and not at me. More than likely prolific...when one starts seeing these on green then I know they are not hiders...very nicely noted and imaged.
Bob
Hi Anna,
An amazing macro of this spider with marvelous eye contact. The eyes have it! You captured him in a wonderful pose showing off all his details and hairy textures. Marvelous natural color that show up well against the green leaf. I even take my camera with me to the mail box - it's when I forget it that I see something fascinating!
Jane
Hello Anna,
A very fine macro well captured with so much details in it!
the exposure and focus is really good with wonderful colouration!
great job well done
best regards
tony
Very good Anna. Your camera took a very good macro shot.
I took 107 photos of a praying mantis yesterday with my 105 lens and only 2 were ok - but not good enough to post on TN. And I used a tripod too. But the stupid insect kept moving... Very annoying.
Sorry, I had to get that off my chest!!
Now back to your image. Isn't it amazing how the camera shows so many details that we can't see with our eyes. And blown up on the computer - WOW!
All the hairs of the spider stand out, and those eyes are very sharp and clear.
Bravo!
Janice

Hi Anna,
A lovely capture of this beautiful and tiny jumping spider. I do have one almost similar in look on our roof top garden. But it is a cunning little fella. When I attempt to shoot some close up of it, it charges directly at the camera (minimum focusing distance is 4 cm). The jump is much more longer than you have mentioned in the notes say about 5 to 6 cm and gives a raises a panic inside me. Sharp details and excellent composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Met ogies soos hierdie een lyk dit of mens moet jammer kry vir hom - seker sy "looks" - mooi foto anna
Dear Anna!
Jumping spiders are my favourite group of spiders and it is always a great pleasure for me to watch these creatures. This pictre is no exception, especially that African fauna of these invertebrates are so poorly known and documented on pictures :)
I like natural light, contrast and eye-contact. On the other hand I believe that photo was sharped a little too much :)
Special thanks and bravo for very informative and professional note! A lot of interesting data can be found there.
It would be a great pleasure for me to add your picture to "Salticidae of the world" theme, of course if you agree :)
Best greetings from Lodz!
Radomir
Hi Anna
Imagine if we had such a camera that would support 8 lenses - some wide angle, some telephoto :))
But apparently what we can't make out of wires and circuits, nature can make out of cells :) Isn't that great!
Also, i didn't know they go by the name of Charlie :)) I'll try calling them next time...see if they come :)
Seriously now, this is a very nice macro, especially taking into consideration the size of these cute fellows.
Your POV here is excellent and catches it frontally, for a great looks on those two biggest eyes.
Very nice colors and good exposure, too.
Bravo and TFS

Hi Anna
They are indeed cute little characters. You've captured this one looking you straight in the eye "come on I'll take you on". They are so fearless, but jump with amazing agility.
Good DOF and sharpness.
Chris
Hi Anna,
I always loved this specie with their incredibly beautiful eyes!!! :) This tinny one is looking at you actually; they always make me smile :) This is a nice composition with superb colors and good exposure. Details are good for F/3.2. In this case, I would maybe have tried to use higher ISO and smaller aperture but this is just a though :) Well done and TFS!

Hello Anna
Groete

Hi Anna,
The title has couldn't be any more appropriated.
I feel that spider is looking just through my soul.
A very good lighting, focus and exposure settings.
The inclination of the leaf behind makes of this an even more dynamic image.

Hello Anna,
wonderful capture of this jumping spider. It is so tiny and always ready to jump on the lens, if we go close. You have managed very well with exposure and composition.
Details are good. In my monitor it looks slighly over exposed, it does't matter. Eyes are really great.

Hello Anna,
I'm glad you're keeping a good look-out in your own garden - after all, the more you look the more you see!! I sometimes feel the same disappointment as you're experiencing but I suppose it should be a challenge!
Anyway, this is a superb macro of this spider watching you intensely and ready to jump for you! Excellent sharp details and fine colours. It looks good on the bright green leaf! Well done!

First let me say this spider gives me the creeps. Those eyes, which you captured so well make me have shivers. To think this can jump at a person. Well focused close up and the green colour enhances it nicely. All I would do is crop it a bit so the darker corners are not there. Just an opinion.
Hello Anna,
Your pleasure in those jumping spiders is contagious I'm afraid, now I'm looking around in my garden to see some specimens, but no luck yet, maybe I'm searching in wrong places. The frontal four ocelli of your present specimen do look powerful my friend and your notes are very informative. A small note on your systematics though, the phylum Arthropoda does not comprise all the invertebrates, only the joint-footed ones, similarly the class Arachnida comprise only the arachnids, i.e., spiders, scorpions, opilionids, mites, ticks and some other 8 footed relatives...
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hi anna
You have captured some lovely details of this little jumper with the big eyes. I like the intense green BG and the diagonal positioning of the leaf. The small triangles in the opposing corners add to the balance of the composition while it also gives perspective to the size of the Agapanthus strap leaf. The colours are well saturated and the exposure was spot-on. I fancy how the one leg is held upward almost as if it is an antenna.
Well done and TFS.
