This is photographed at a spot called 'Olifants Lookout'. wikimapia. Actually a place next to the S44 road paved with stones where you can park your car.
The camera is looking southeast towards the downriver side. We are a few km away from the confluence with the Letaba river and approx 10km from the South-Africa/Mozambique border.
I think the larger floodplain might be there partially due to the floods in February 2000?

Hi Annick.
Wonderful truly wild nature scene. Despite the cloudy weather you managed to colourful enough picture of this deserted place. POV is great as well as the composition of the image and aperture value is your personal record I think. My best wishes and kind regards.

Hi Annick,

Hello Annick,
Good presentation of this great landscape under miserable overcast sky!

Hi Annick

Always nice to see a broader view of the beautiful Kruger :)
This gives a lovely view of that amazing place - a habitat of so many lovely creatures.
Very nice composition with the curved winding river. I also like the colors of the vegetation all around it as well as the depth in the image.
Probably a polarizer would have helped here a little, but even so its a lovely presentation.

Bravo and TFS

Merhaba Dostum,
Ne müthiş bir manzara bu Annick. Yakınımda böyle bir yer oolmasını çok isterdim. Kimbilir ne kuş, börtü-böcek vardır oralarda. Seyretmesi bile oldukça zevkli bir manzara olmuş. Eline sağlık.

Hello Annick,
What an amazing looking place you have captured here. The steep cliffs add drama to the ribbon of life giving waters. As well I can see mentioned high water mark from the flood. Great landscape Annick, thank you.
