[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The African Jacana[Actophilornis] are sociable birds often gathering together at swamp like habitat. Aggresive behaviour amongst same - sexed birds. A mating pair can have up to 30 clutches of eggs each season, resulting from either the same partner or various partners. The female is more dominant than her male counterpart, also twice as large and are picky about who they choose as a mate. Also known as " Lilly Walkers" and strong swimmers and good divers.
