What a stunner. Looks like the waiting is long for this lovely family. Excellent control over the exposure, considering the bright BG. The details are perfect. Maybe a small tilt correction to the left and a slight reduction on the green or blue color.
A happy New Year to you and Loot.

Fantastic photo of this Cheeta family in great quality. Nice to see them in the shadow contrasting against the light background.

A stunner it certainly is! What a beautiful image! Taking nothing away from the photographer but that Zeiss lens is something else. Thank you also for the perspective in your note which I repeat here "... the real aim of Trek Nature ... is to learn about nature through photography and not the other way around." May we all remember that.
PS: And may you and your family have a wonderfully blessed year ahead. Our brief stay here is only a step away from eternity.

You are so lucky to have such animals to photograph. Very good image which captures mood in the shade. Looks like the two on the left are having a conversation: "Well, shall we eat her now or later?" 8-) Great focus and natural color and lighting. TFS and a Happy New Year to you and your family as well with hopes for brighter tomorrows.

What a nice scene! There is again a lot of emotion in this photo.
Technically, exposure was particularly difficult, the cheetahs being in the shade, and it's a great result.

They do look very content. That is an amazing pose. What I liked besides the beautiful Cheetahs is the way your exposure held a balance between the shaded area and the sunny background.
The colours remained very natural and you captured lots of detail in the cats.
Happy New Year and all the best to you and Loot in the future.
Thanks for sharing

Beautiful photo of a cheetah family, excellent control of exposure considering you were in really difficult situation with the main compositional elements in shade and the background under sunlight. Top class sharpness, too, while composition's second to none. Absolutely stunning image, supported with a great personal note. Bravo.
Thanks for your kind wishes and I wish a prospetrous new year to you & Loot, too. Best regards, László

I have to agree with you on this one, they really do look like they are waiting for the New Year to begin. I have alway thought that cheetahs were one of my favorite big cats and now I see why..they are simply gorgeous with their black teardrop markings and spotted coats. You have captured this family perfectly! Outstanding image!!
Hope 2013 is gracious to you and your family.

A very apt, animated posting and to ring in the new year. The family is portraying a plethora of emotions it would seem.
The Mother a bit bored if not anxious for the start of 2013, the cub on the left slightly surprised in an uncertain way, and the cub to the right has just been told that it will not be permitted to attend the year end wildcat party at the local singles den.
Impressive focus and in fine light, these cats are absolutely purrfect in all respects. Well done and a very Happy New Year to you and your family.
