Welcome back my good friend, hope you have fully recovered from your hip transplants, and what a great image you have here, not very often we see crocodile action shots, good detailed sharpness, nice highlighted eye, excellent picture Carl, well done,

Good to see you back. I hope everything is fine now.
A photo with a lot of memories for me. I don't know if you have seen my caiman with fish photo from the Pantanal.
Excellent sharpness, details and beautiful natural colours. Great timing.

For a leaner, and, I'm still learning, this is an ABSOLUTE 10/10 image.
I can even "see" both the eyes of that poor bass being swallowed up.
Love your notes too.
Do keep shooting.
You have a great lens; try to buy a 2.8 lens for MACRO shots, auto focus. They are HIGHLY EXPENSIVE. And, if you acquire one get it with a stabilizer; but, they are worth it. Great for insects and other tiny creature etc:
Best and most kind regards from COLD COLD Calgary, Canada.

First of all I would like to say welcome back, and it's great that you are finally starting to heal from your double hip transplant operations. I'm sure you would agree you are far better off then this unlucky fish is at the moment:}
Great shot and captured at just the right instant. Focus is sharp, allowing us to view both predator and prey in fine detail. Colors appear to be true and natural and exposure is right on the money. I saw my first and only wild crocodile living in it's natural habitat a few years ago while in Costa Rica, I will always remember that thrilling experience.

Hello Carl, The attention that this image attracts speaks for itself and I fully concur with all the accolades above. What a fascinating spectacle! Very well done indeed. Best wishes.
NS: Dit was 'n aangename verrassing om epos van jou te kry en ek hoop jy is nou werklik oor al die probleme. Ek gaan dit weer met aandag lees en antwoord binnekort. Onthou, hier is baie wildreservate in ons omgewing. Beste wense, ook aan Annetjie.

Great opportunity (with what almost certainly is a nile tilapia in its jaws), wonderful sharpness and exposure. Great, great job, amgo Carl.

Although you uploaded the photo 2 weeks, welcome back to the site! We missed you. Absolutely excellent and very spectacular image, no need to vivisect, perfect as it is, both composition- and technical-wise. Thank you, and I wish to see a lot more photos of you in the near future!
