Hyena (No Tail)
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I have captured this running Hyena in Kruger National Park during our early game drive. It was at about 5.30 a.m when me and my wife were driving in to the jungle, saw a Hyena running behind an Impala. Light was very low because just a bit portion of sun rises that moment. So used high ISO. Difficult shot to me, mainly when you are inside the running car.|
You could see this Hyena just have finished a good dinner; blood spots on his body. Unfortunately he has lost his tail; don't know how. But you could see marks of savage fight.

Hi Srikumar,a perfect camera settings to have the best by this lucky meeting at the start of your daily trip. The sharpness is very very good in this low and difficult light and despite the fast mouvement of the Hyena, very curious to see one without tail, well done. Have a nice WE and thanks,Luciano.

What a neat shot of this running Hyena. You can tell by the intense look on its face that it has a definite mission on its mind. Super sharp focus giving us a wonderful look at its unique markings and stout body features. From this angle we can clearly see its muscular neck and massive jaws. Not an easy photo to capture, but you did it with no problem.
Another super action shot of the Hyena. It would have been nice had the Impalas been in the frame too. You have managed to capture the details of the Hyena despite the low light. It looks like the injury marks were due to territorial fight (not sure though). Well done!!
