I captured this 'Kurrichane Thrush' (Turdus libonyana) in Kruger National Park when it was foraging on the ground in our Camping area. In Kruger only in the camping area we are allowed to walk, so here I was lucky.

I always prefer eye level POV and here when bird was small and on the ground, you could imagine how I captured this picture. Sharpness doesn't bring out details if DOF of picture isn't good and to get good DOF, you need to know how to handle SETTING, otherwise you will get flat picture where bird is in its natural habitat. I tried my best and personally I'm pleased, except its frontal view of face. Personally I like side view of the bird.

Kurrichane Thrush is fairly common within the North-Eastern part of the southern Africa.

Hi Srikumar,i agree with you for the choice of POV,perfect capture of this thrush,so proud to enter in your gallery as i can see watching its pose, high quality as usual. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Srikumar,
It is really a splendid capture. Amazing sharpness and excellent clarity. Outstanding colors. The light and details are great. The summer here in my region was unusual warm not very pleasant for taking photos.....but in Danube Delta despite the short trip it was a pleasant weather, no warm at all.....
Thanks for sharing!

Hello Srikumar,
I like the very low POV you chose giving us an eye level look at this beautiful thrush. Outstanding detail as always and beautiful natural color tones. Wonderful eye contact and just the right amount of exposure.
It actually reminds me of a young female American Robin to some degree. Well done!!

hello Srikumar,
C'est une très belle composition, belle qualité des détails et des couleurs.
Bon W-E

Great general detail, and especially in the head of this lofty thrush, special congratulations for the smooth and perfect exposure throughout the figure of the bird. Great job, Ram !!!

Hi Sri,
Your low PoV is fantastic, and eventhough you prefer side view, as a viewer I'm fully happy with the frontal one also. Nice composition, great sharpness on every part of the bird, and the rather flat natural habitat was perfectly mish-mashed with the wide aperture settings. Very spectacular, elegant photo. Bravo!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
