African Darter (Anhinga rufa}
Sexes are similar. Long,thin neck and straight dagger-like bill has given it the name of "Snakebird".
Habitat: Still and slow moving fresh water including swamps and marshes.
Food: Mainly fish, (speared with sharp bill) and frogs. |
