Willie, Good impact with the bright yellow against the brown BG that sets-off the bird well. Nicely composed. Some noise as stated primarily seen in your BG but negligible. Great post! PS - Nice clean-up job in the workshop!

Nice bird and a nice mugshot. As I was saying there is a remarkable improvement. Excellent eye detail. With the exception of the noise it's a perfect shot. Download NeatImage from the net, most of us use it to get rid of the noise.

Another crisp, colorful shot. I just noted your info about the camera you're using - first time I've seen posted pics from a video camera, and they are frankly stunning! If you haven't used it, you can download a free copy of NeatImage (has many but not all the features of the pro version) which is very useful for removing the noise in the background if you're careful not to lose the detail in the bird. (as in the workshop red45 posted)

This a a great picture. The harmony of the colors makes it pelasant to watch. The picture is sharp. All in focus. The light is soft. presumably the ligth was diffused by wide diffuser screen ?? Well done !!
