What unique Kingfisher.
Details are very good and exposure is accurate.
One thing that I don't understand, how come it was shot at 4 seconds exposure ?!

This is a very different colour to what I associate with a Kingfisher. You captured him just at the right moment. Good eye contact and an excellent quality shot. TFS.

Fantastic capture, Farid!
Sharp, good pose and POV as well as good BG.
Your note about states that the Giant Kingfisher is absent from the dry west. This right, but I have seen it in Gambia, which is surrounded by the dry west. That was long before I went digital!
TFS, regards, Ivan

Splendid your picture.
The POV and DOF are a good ones, making the background so soft and nice to look at, and the bird is plenty of details, I like the way iyou catched it.

Very strange bird; never seen before. Look like some 'special edition' Kingfisher.
BG is very good.
Pity (a bit) it is sitting on that 'thing'.

A very beautiful capture with such a great pose. The OOF BG really helps to focus on the Kingfisher and make the photo very pleasant to the eye. Great sharpness and exposure.
