The Diederick cuckoo is commonly seen. It parasitizes and eats the eggs of several weaver (especially the Village Weaver) and bishop (Euplectes) species. Note the red eye in the male, brown eye in the female.

What a beautiful cuckoo species Tom. Up to now, I have not seen in nature. Its nearest area to us is Oman and I will look for it in my next trip. You are lucky to find this handsome male and captured with such a nice shot. Thanks for sharing this beauty. Well done.
