[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"I am not a fish" is this Grey Heron probably shouting at the African Fish-Eagle, spreading its wings to look as big as possible.
The eagle attacked the heron three times before giving up.
The picture was taken late in the morning (11.00) so light conditions were no more perfect.

Brilliant action shot, Tom. You got the focus right and DOF. You must have been so excited when this went down. Excellent work. Regards, Irmgard

Hello,

For this kind of picture we cannot ask a high quality (this is question of luck), but the situation brings the interest. The composition is good. TFS.

Hi Tom, I like your photo and generally tolking
I love all the photos in the wild with moments of life and dead. Great moment, congratulation!
Dan

Hi Tom

Wow.... Excellent shot. You sure were in the right place at the right time. Even though we have a rear view of the Heron, you can easily sense the aggression by seeing the beak wide open. Awesome detail in the Heron's plumage. Congrats!

Hello Tom.

Excellent image, nice composition and colors.

Regards.
Jose Luis.

Incredible action.
Could you manage to get more good shots of this action during the 3 charges of the eagle?
Must be fantastic to witness such a moment.
I wish I was there.
Quite smart decision for the eagle to give up. Herons are effective killers too. Sure not as good as the eagle, but one meal is not worth the risk.

Hello Tom,
Great capture of this battle for survival caught unfolding, great detail and colors gives us a clear view of the action, thanks Tom.

Wow, Tom.

Great Capture. As far as I know and the way they appear here, both the birds are roughly of same dimensions though the eagle is markedly bulkier. This animal instinct of trying anything and everything that moves is well captured in this photo.

Subhayan.
