[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This baby just lost his mother in a car accident. Traffic casualties are one of the main thread in Jozani NP.
These apes are living in groups and sometimes an orphan baby is adopted by another female, but this is not usually the case.
That's why the chance of surviving the next night was extremely poor for this little baby.
To appreciate the size of this baby I posted a second picture with my daughter and the colobus in the WS.

Hi Tom

A really good POV - sharp focus too. Sad story.

selam tom, Great close up shot and very good composition of this baby nice pov and bg with splendid colours. Well done ! Regards ridvan

Good capture. Huh - it really is tiny! Good detail and colors!
Well done, Mr. Pirate! Cheers, Klaus

Hi Tom.
Oh my gosh, they are so tiny, no bigger than your daughters shoe. Really informative notes and images of something we never see in NZ, unless you go to a wildlife park or zoo.
This would have been a trying image to take with using the length to show the tail against a background with incoming light. The exposure of the baby monkey is beautiful with great detail and nice greens in the foreground leaves.
Wonderful, TFS the extra with your daughter and the notes on this wee fella.

Hello Tom,
Funny and well composed image. The tail is 'in' the image; good.
The overexposed leaves might be interpreted as distracting IMhO.

very very sweet! TFS Ori

Hello Tom,
Superb capture of this tiny little monkey in a lovely pose up the Ficus tree. Great sharpness and fine colours. Excellent composition. Poor little orphan!
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Tom,
I am pleasure seeing another excellent photo from you. But this is a bit different. Other Africa shots of yours mainly from savannas. This may be from rain forest. Nice details, sharpness. Composition and coloration very well. Interesting note with saddy news. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tom,
a great shot, love the way the tail fills the left hand side of the frame. Hope the little one survives.
