This is a common pose among zebra on the Serengeti. Not only are family bonds reinforced by physical contact, but the zebras have a better chance of spotting predators approaching from any direction.

Hi Eleanor, I like the pose you've captured here. The image appears a little noisy or soft, I'm not quite sure which. Did you crop it a lot or use a high ISO setting? Still, as I say, the pose is nice and you've chosen a nice composition. I like the way you can see the eyes of both animals. Well done :)

nice pose and compo but a blurring of the backgound or a shot from the other side where there is no direct sunlight could have been better.
