This giraffe is just outside the campsite feeding on the acacia tree. Its tongue is so long, it can maneuver around all the thorns on the tree to get to the leaves. Occasionally it would stop as if to watch and enjoy the sunset and beautiful Landscape as well. I love watching them, move so slowly and elegantly consider how tall they are.

It was a beautiful sunset, I wish I have the POV of the Girafe from up high, so I can enjoy the sunset from his perspective.

The giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) is an African even-toed ungulate mammal, the tallest of all land-living animal species. Males can be 4.8 to 5.5 metres (16 to 18 feet) tall and weigh up to 1,300 kilograms (3,000 pounds). The record-sized bull was 5.87 m (19.2 ft) tall and weighed approximately 2,000 kg (4,400 lb).[2] Females are generally slightly shorter, and weigh less than the males do.

The giraffe is related to deer and cattle, but is placed in a separate family, the Giraffidae, consisting only of the giraffe and its closest relative, the okapi. Its range extends from Chad to South Africa.

Giraffes can inhabit savannas, grasslands, or open woodlands. They prefer areas enriched with acacia growth. They drink large quantities of water and, as a result, they can spend long periods of time in dry, arid areas. When searching for more food they will venture into areas with denser foliage.

What a magnificent pic! Fantastic way to take a giraffe, super details and a fabulous and rich background taken in the best moment of this spectacular sunset, very professional light management ,sharpness and saturation.Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

what an awesome capture of this giraffe with those birds hopping a ride! Not home or would grab this in a workshop, love to see a little HD processing as it appears to be a tad bit overexposed...or maybe its the light where i am at. Either way AWESOME shot my friend TFS!

Hallo Way
This is a wonderful scenery to look at. I just love the wide open space, and I can almost inhale the fresh air. It must have been an awesome sight to see this in real life. This is a delightful image with a feeling of softness that surrounds it and at the same time calms the whole being just by looking at it. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hi Way
The colors are most beautiful, real African feeling coming up, maybe the best possible compliment for a photographer
Just love it

Hello Way,
great composition of this Giraffe and a sunset with a wonderful mood. I like the good sharpness with nice details like the birds on the Giraffe and the beautifully natural colours. But what I like best is the peace in my heart when looking at it. A marvellous scenary.
Best wishes,
