The common warthog (Phacochoerus africanus) is a wild member of the pig family (Suidae) found in grassland, savanna, and woodland in sub-Saharan Africa.In the past, it was commonly treated as a subspecies of P. aethiopicus, but today that scientific name is restricted to the desert warthog of northern Kenya, Somalia, and eastern Ethiopia.

Although the PoV is a bit too high here in my opinion (probably you shot from the top of a jeep or the animal was in a ditch), effective photo with the warthog forming a great semi-diagonal line in the composition. Thanks for sharing the hidden beauties from your Senegal trip. Enjoy the festive season.

Common species here in Kruger National Park too. Very strong animal. Well captured. Like to see such African Wildlife.
