The Adélie penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae) on the seashore at the Admiralty Bay, King George Island. Picture taken during the XVIIth Polish Antarctic Expedition.
The Adélie Penguin, is a species of penguin common along the entire Antarctic coast and its nearby islands. In 1830, French explorer Jules Dumont d'Urville named them for his wife, Adélie.
